Background
I have gained a year of experience and am licensed in New York and New Jersey. I work from a cognitive-behavior perspective while integrating other therapies when I see fit. I can counsel in Spanish as well as English. I graduated from Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, NY with a bachelors in Psychology. In addition, I am a graduate of Teachers College, Columbia University in New York City with a Masters in Psychological Counseling, specializing in Mental Health Counseling. After becoming a licensed Mental Health Counselor, I plan to attend Syracuse University to achieve a PhD in Marriage and Family Therapy.
My clientele consists of all ethnicities and genders ranging from adolescents to adults. I counsel younger children in family group sessions. The common religious orientation of my clients is Christian. I specialize in the following areas: relationship issues, child and adolescent issues, divorce, anxiety and fear, depression, addiction and substance abuse, OCD, domestic violence, grief, and personality disorders.
